Contemporary Green cloth bindings with Black illustrations of world figures on fronts and Gilt Decorative design covering spines. Vol 1 has 800 pages and the pagination continues up to 6,576 at the end of Vol 8. Well illustrated World History from the Edwardian viewpoint, with many Monochrome Full Page Plates and In-Text illustrations and a few Colour Plates. 9 3/4" Tall. Regrettably the back cover of volume 4 has been largely destroyed due to an over zealous puppy many years ago, hence the reduced price.The book itself is intact with no damage to any of the pages and could be repaired or replaced. I thought £10 per volume with the damaged volume free a fair compromise. The bindings,pages and covers of all the books with the exception noted above are in excellent condition.A beautifully illustrated set of a hard to obtain item.
